An innovative clip that was shot in a single take with no edits, the video was directed by Declan Whitebloom, who also directed Swift's videos for "Mean" and "Ours."

The video takes us through a single day beginning with Swift, in colorful pajamas, in her bedroom recounting the headaches of an on-again, off-again relationship. She proceeds through different rooms in her house, including a scene with a band dressed in animal costumes performing in her living room, then moving to a nightclub and then a stroll in the park with the object of her mixed emotions repeatedly returning to woo her back.

In the course of the just-over three-minute video, she manages to showcase five different outfits in what’s being touted as “the first-ever true 4G music video.”
