Chris Brown tattoo,A rep for Chris Brown has denied reports suggesting that his new tattoo of a woman's bruised face on his neck is of Rihanna after he assaulted her in 2009.
Earlier this month, Breezy unveiled his new ink at an event in Las Vegas, with many suggesting that the design bared a striking resemblance to the image of RiRi's battered face after Chris' infamous attack on her, TMZ reports.
A spokesperson for the Don't Wake Me Up singer was forced to defend Brown, telling the website that the similarities between his tat and Rihanna was a coincidence, adding: "It's a random woman."
However, the speculation continued to spread like wildfire online, with the R&B star's rep now stating that the design is of a Mexican-themed skull that he had seen on an ad for MAC make-up.
They were keen to add that the ink did not depict the Bajan babe or any other beaten woman, explaining to RumorFix: "His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw.
"It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported."
The 23-year old's tattoo artist also confirmed that Chris had copied the sugar skull image from a MAC advertisement.
Rihanna herself also seemed to defend Brown over the allegations on Twitter shortly after the criticism of his new tat emerged online, posting: "It's a good day to shut the PH up, and reanalyze your SELF!!!”
She then linked to a photo of Matthew 7:2, with the bible passage reading: "Whatever measure you use in judging others, it will be used to measure how you are judged."
The We Found Love hitmaker and Brown were spotted embracing each other at the 2012 MTV VMAs last week, when Chris congratulated RiRi after she won the gong for Video of the Year.
Rihanna previously confessed to still having strong feelings for Brown in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, insisting he was still the "love of her life."
