Shia Labeouf Done

Shia Labeouf Done

Shia Labeouf Done,Shia LaBeouf has never been afraid to bite the hand that feeds.

Take his comments at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010 regarding "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and director Steven Spielberg.

"I love Steven," LaBeouf said. "I have a relationship with Steven that supersedes our business work. And believe me, I talk to him often enough to know that I'm not out of line. [...] But when you drop the ball you drop the ball."

Or his thoughts on "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen": "When I saw the second movie, I wasn't impressed with what we did."

So it should come as little surprise that LaBeouf is at it again, this time blasting Hollywood studio economics as a whole.

In a new interview with THR, the actor claims he's finished making blockbusters.

"There's no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist," he said, before adding, "[the studios] give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your ass and chase you around for five months."

While that might sound like typical LaBeouf bluster, the actor has certainly put his money where his mouth is in recent months. He's starring in this summer's "Lawless," an indie film he helped produced, and appears in the indie productions "The Company You Keep" and "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman." He also recently signed on for a role in Lars Von Trier's sexually explicit "Nymphomaniac."
