Ronald Baker Asks For Cab Phone Number—What police thought was a case of road rage in Ross Township has turned out to be something quite different.
Officers said the incident that ended in three arrests and one person being injured was actually a drug deal gone wrong.
On July 18, police said a few Ross Township business owners along McKnight Road witnessed a man being dragged by a car.
“He was bleeding through his mouth, had a head injury and scrapes. He was scuffed up on his arms and his legs,” Detective Brian Kohlhepp said.
Investigators said the incident began when 19-year-old Andrew Kaltenbaugh bought what he thought was two bags of marijuana.
“When he opened the bag to investigate what he bought, he quickly learned he didn’t buy marijuana, he spent $2,000 on two bags of mulch,” Kohlhepp said.
Officers said once Kaltenbaugh realized what happened, he angrily followed the car that was driven by 18-year-old Brian Fish and an unnamed 17-year-old while demanding his money back.
