Kanye American Idol, American Idol Row Taking Shape?

When Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez left American Idol in the same week, it left their judges row looking quite empty. The only remaining judge was Randy Jackson, who was one of the original judges with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. Now it looks like Jackson will have company, or will he?
Kanye West is the latest rumored judge to join the row of commentators this year. It actually appears the entire row might be music artists this year. Mariah Carey has already signed on, and West would be the second to join the group.

Jackson may be taking a different role on the show and his spot on judge’s row may be up for replacement as well. Some of the potential judges for that seat include Nicki Minaj and Sean Combs. It appears American Idol is leaning heavily towards the pop/rap genre with these potential selection of judges.
