Hilary Swank Breakup, Hilary Swank and longtime boyfriend John Campisi have split, reports People.com. The Oscar-winning actress (Million Dollar Baby and Boys Don’t Cry) was married to actor Chad Lowe for 10 years when they divorced in 2007.
She and Campisi, who was one of her agents at Creative Artists Agency, began dating that same year.
As comic-book fans know, superheroes never get the girl, at least not for long. So it is with Superman-to-be Henry Cavill, whose relationship with fiancee Ellen Whitaker is reportedly over. Meanwhile, Hilary Swank, known for playing real-life heroines, has also reportedly split with her longtime love. Both couples actually broke up three months ago but managed to keep their heartaches under wraps until now.
Cavill is the 29-year-old British actor currently best known for his role as Charles Brandon, King Herny VIII’s BFF, on Showtime’s The Tudors. (That will change next year, when Cavill dons the red cape in the much-anticipated Super-reboot Man of Steel.) He had been engaged to champion show-jumper Whitaker, 26, since May 2011. Us Weekly is reporting that their split, which occurred back in May, is now official. “There was no fallout,” Us quoted a source close to the former couple as saying. “They just both agreed it wasn’t working.”
And what of Swank’s split?
Swank, 38, had been dating John Campisi, one of her agents at Creative Artists Agency, for five years. (Before that, the two-time Oscar-winner was famously married for a decade to fellow actor Chad Lowe.) According to People, Swank and Campisi parted ways in May. Since then, a shoot for the TV movie Mary and Martha, on locations in both North Carolina and South Africa, has kept her out of the public eye.
