Cruise Holmes talking,Their marriage may be no more, but Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' love for their little daughter Suri is just as strong as ever.
The exes, who reached a divorce settlement in record time in early July, are reportedly making an effort to stay amicable for the sake of Suri, 6, and are still "talking," a source tells People magazine.
"They are both going to do what's best for Suri," the source added.
Since Holmes' bombshell divorce filing on June 29, both she and the "Mission Impossible" actor have been shuttling Suri between them and individually spending quality time with their little girl.
Mom and daughter have been spotted around Manhattan, where Holmes, 33, has opted to settle down, making trips to the zoo and to ice cream shops throughout the city.
And just last week, Suri was spotted in an Ariel costume (from “The Little Mermaid”) while gallavanting through Walt Disney World with dad Cruise, 50.
In the settlement, Holmes won primary physical custody of Suri, and the two have now worked out between them a "civilized routine," the source told the magazine.
"We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life," Holmes' lawyer, Jonathan Wolfe, said in a statement to the Daily News at the time.
"We thank Tom's counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution."
After enjoying time with both parents this summer, Suri will be starting private school at Avenues, a nearly $40,000-a-year school set to open this fall, according to Life & Style.
"Katie has eagerly been telling Suri all about the lunchrooms, basketball courts and different activities Avenues offers," a source told the magazine. "Suri's really excited about it."
