Monday, Hollywood Life said the “Spring Breakers” star chopped off her locks and opted for an edgy hairstyle. Bieber’s gal pal even took to Twitter and Facebook to alert her millions of followers.
“Selena is @postcarding “new hair for a new movie. I love changing my hair!” the tweet read.
Gomez attached a link with this photo to her tweet that also appeared on her Facebook account. It showed off her new locks and bangs.
Selena, 20, is said to be gearing up for her new movie that is due out in 2013 or 2014. “The Getaway” is a remake of the 1972 flick that bears the same name and stars Steve McQueen.
Selena Gomez stars alongside Ethan Hawke, Jon Voight and Bruce Payne in an action-packed flick in which she plays the character the “Kid,” who is a bank robber on the run.
Apparently, the “Dream Out Loud” singer is making good on her promise to shed the “good-girl” image she carries around. “Spring Breakers,” her birthday braids and upcoming movie are just examples of her quest. It looks like the former Disney star has been hanging out with Vanessa Hudgens too long right?
“I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different. It was a mark thing for me – like, ‘This is what I want to be doing.’ I want to be taking myself seriously as an actress,” Selena said in a recent interview.
