Matthew McConaughey Weight Loss, Matthew McConaughey fans, for those of you who have seen “Magic Mike” you probably couldn’t help but notice that Matthew was looking fit, and trim, shirtless under that leather vest and leather pants ensemble he sported throughout the film.

But, the normal athletic, and trim McConaughey is looking more than a little underweight and peaked these days as he tells Larry King the reason he is dropping a lot of weight all of a sudden.

Matthew stopped by the “Larry King Live” show to chat about an upcoming film role that requires him to loose a lot of weight. Yahoo News reported that Matthew stated he is preparing to play the role of Ron Wood, the story of a man who contracted the AIDS virus in the early 80s.

McConaughey claims that by the time he is ready to start shooting, “I should not look healthy by the time I’m doing that role.”

Matthew reveals to Larry King that he plans to lose at least 30 pounds for the film, no matter how difficult it is, he plans to keep a positive spin about his diet saying, “I’m looking at it as a cleanse… It’s a bit of a spiritual cleanse, mental cleanse.”
